Support Us

It takes a community to build and sustain a high-quality community theatre. You have the opportunity to make that community even stronger. Donations of all sizes, whether one-time or recurring, help QCT maintain its reputation as a cornerstone of Quincy’s cultural community and producer of great theatre—the kind that inspires us all to Imagine, Create, and Collaborate.

Light the Way: Back Where You Belong

Keep our lights shining bright—literally. Gifts to our annual campaign will support production costs, facility repairs and updates, and “wish list” items to enhance the theatre experience. Gifts may be one-time or recurring. Quincy Community Theatre’s annual fundraising campaign, Light the Way, celebrates the theme, “Back Where You Belong”, which was inspired by the recent return of live theatre, education classes, and more following months of shutdown due to the pandemic. For many, QCT is a second home and a space that has provided a lifetime of memories and experiences. This year’s campaign co-chairs, Bill and Brenda Stalder, have been involved with QCT in numerous capacities for a couple of decades.

“This campaign celebrates the joy of many things but especially the joy of volunteering together again, of connecting with each other personally, and building on the success of QCT,” they shared. ” As a family we have been especially blessed by Quincy Community Theatre, dating back to when it was the Quincy Community Little Theatre. The theatre family has truly embraced our family and for that we are beyond grateful.”

The Light the Way Campaign which funds crucial repairs, increasing production costs, and wish list items that include enhancements to QCT’s stage, sound system, lighting, and more. The community’s support has been especially needed the past 18 months as the theatre has navigated the dramatic financial impact of the COVID pandemic coupled with an aging facility in need of many technological updates.

Barbara Rowell Capital Improvement Fund

Barbara Rowell was QCT’s Managing Artistic Director from 1983 to 2006. Barbara’s impact on QCT’s past, present, and future cannot be overstated– she was not only a true champion of the art form but also a fierce advocate for centering the theatre as a cultural cornerstone of our community.

Perhaps most visible of Barbara’s diverse legacy is the very building that our theatre occupies. It was through Barbara’s singular vision and determination that QCT became a permanent resident of the brand-new Oakley Lindsay Civic Center in 1995. Donations to this fund will help us maintain the house that she built for generations to come.

Involvement in theatre can boost test scores, boost self-esteem, lower dropout rates, and more. So shouldn’t every child have access to theatre classes?

Your donation could help a child in our community take life-changing classes that will prepare them for school, the stage, everyday life, and the workforce.
