QCT Introduces Cast of JUNIE B. JONES IS NOT A CROOK
She’s zany and a bit of a nutball, and she’s coming to the QCT stage with the help of an incredible cast this October.
Kindergarten isn’t easy, especially when you’re Junie B. Jones! First, a stealer stole Junie B.’s new furry mittens. Then, there’s the handsomest new boy at school who thinks she’s a nutball. And don’t even get her started on Meanie Jim! Can Junie B. find the stealer of her mittens, fix her friendships, beat the bully, and still be her lovable self?
A cast of 12 talented performers will bring the beloved book series to life in a new way. The cast includes Caroline Seaman as Junie. B. Jones, Natalie Predmore as Grace, Alexa Mosley as Lucille, Reid Westemeyer as Handsome Warren, Aidan Hutton as Meanie Jim, Quinton Miller as Ricardo, Cecilia Bruening as Mrs., Ron Angelo Domanais as Principal, Jerilyn Dufresne as Grouchy Typing Lady and Grampa Frank Miller, Dawson Perry-Broekemeier as Mother, and Lily Venvertloh and Bethany Carrell as ensemble members.
Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook is under the direction of Director of Student Theatre Brendan Shea, with scenic and technical design by Seth Campbell, and costume design by Valerie Hernandez.
Individual tickets to Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook are $12 and go on sale Monday, August 30 at 10 am. Performances are October 1-3 and 8-10, 2021. Seating is reserved.
For those who want to dive deeper into the story and the production process, QCT will host Discovery Night on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:00 pm. This free event invites the audience backstage to take a look at the process of bringing this story to life. See the costumes, set pieces, hear from the director and designers, and watch a portion of the rehearsal. RSVP on QCT’s website to attend this event.
