Cast of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” Announced

QCT is proud to announce the cast of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, the theatre’s first live, on stage student theatre production since February 2020.  The production will be presented in QCT’s Lab Theatre June 16-20. Based on the beloved children’s book, Edward Tulane lives a charmed, but vain, life as an adored porcelain rabbit. Then, he is lost at sea. In his travels through the dark depths of the ocean floor to the bustling streets of the city, Edward discovers a heart is more fragile than the fine china he’s made of. And, perhaps, love is the most miraculous journey of all.

“Edward Tulane may be considered by some as just a toy; however, his story is one of growth and love – something we can all relate to,” said Director of Student Theatre Brendan Shea. “These student actors bring a level of emotional intelligence and maturity beyond their years to tell this incredible story. We can’t wait to share it with the public.”

The cast is made of up six local student volunteers. They are Simon Bruening, Brennan Hills, Alexa Mosley, Helen Smith, Conall Wolfmeyer, and Thalia Wolfmeyer. The show will be directed by Brendan Shea with costume design by Susan Scholz and set design by Lorne Kelley, Danny White, and Seth Campbell.

Tickets for this production are $12 and go on sale May 17. Tickets may be purchased online at www.1qct.org or by calling the Box Office at (217) 222-3209.
