Reuschel Report
It is an honor to kick-off our refreshed e-newsletter, The Spotlight, with my first-ever blog! I am excited you will have the opportunity to hear from different staff throughout the year, learn more about the innerworkings of the theatre, and gain new insight into our processes and work. This theatre is truly a community, and we want you to feel part of every step. So with that, here we go!
It’s hard to believe, but we are just two short weeks away from the start of our 2020 season. Since I joined QCT in June, the 2020 season has been the focus of many discussions, planning sessions, and sleepless nights. Kidding. Sort of. From show selection to budgeting and season ticket sales to marketing, we have diligently worked to ensure the 2020 season will continue to uphold our tradition of quality theatre entertainment. The excitement for this year’s shows is palpable, and I can’t wait to experience them with all of you. As we head into this season we want to ensure you feel the excitement, fully experience the quality of the performances, and become connected to QCT like never before.
This year, we will pull the curtain back and take you alongside us as we bring this season to life. Each month you will hear from a different member of staff who will share their work, experiences, struggles, and successes as they do their part to bring the magic of live theatre to our stage. We will introduce you to amazing volunteers whose dedication to QCT is the lifeblood of our organization and whose experiences will hopefully inspire you to get involved or be more involved. The Spotlight will also be a great way to keep up with the events and involvement opportunities happening at QCT.
If you don’t already follow us on Facebook, please take an opportunity to log in and like our page. Not only is this page a great way to stay in touch, but we will share behind-the-scenes looks at our productions, opportunities for how you can get involved both on and off stage, information about educational offerings at the theatre, and you will be instantly connected to a community of nearly 5,500 individuals who share your enthusiasm for live theatre and QCT.
I’ve often heard that QCT is “Quincy’s best kept secret.” We don’t want to be a secret! Come alongside us as we bring Frozen, Jr., Chicago, Calendar Girls, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Legally Blonde, The Trip to Bountiful, Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, and Beauty and the Beast to the QCT stage. Invite others along to share in the experience. Join us for the excitement, quality, and connection of live theatre at QCT.
