Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia have spent their lives devoted to the care of their parents. Never having left their childhood home, they now bicker and complain about the circumstances of their wasted lives. That is, until their glamourous movie-star sister, Masha, suddenly hits the scene with her new boy toy Spike in tow. Mix in a soothsaying cleaning woman, someone named Hootie Pie, a sweet young aspiring actress, and plans that could devastate the family, and you have the laugh-out-loud ruckus and Tony Award-winning play that will be a sure-fire audience favorite.
