The Triple Threat Boot Camp, established in 2008, is intended for the serious performer. This intense workshop focuses on instruction in the “triple threat” musical theatre disciplines: singing, dancing, and acting. For the six-day camp, the students are divided into age-appropriate levels. The morning consists of specific training in the various areas; in the afternoon, students implement the skills learned during the day in a rehearsal setting for the end-of-camp presentation to be attended by family and friends. This showcase is a Broadway-style revue, consisting of musical numbers and scenes. Even the most experienced performer will find this camp to be invaluable! Tuition includes a T-shirt and two complimentary tickets to the showcase.
For the students—Please complete the application form, which includes a section to upload a short, handwritten essay (1 page or 250 words maximum) to explain why you would enjoy being a part of Triple Threat Boot Camp. Please be as specific as you can—don’t hesitate to give examples of why you enjoy performing, and perhaps include some past experiences you’ve had with acting, singing, or dance. Once you have written your essay by hand, please scan or take a photo, then upload your essay to the Google form. The application form must be accompanied by this essay.
For students new to QCT, please include the contact info of a non-relative to serve as a reference.
Submission of the application form and essay does not automatically guarantee a place for the student in the camp. Do not include payment with the application form. Payment is due upon the student’s acceptance into the camp.
Completed application form (with essay) is due July 9, 2021. Applicants will be notified the following week; if accepted into Triple Threat Boot Camp, you will receive a private link to register and pay for camp.
Thank you for your interest in Triple Threat Boot Camp!

Flexible Tuition and Volunteer Credits
Don’t let tuition prices keep you from signing up. Thanks to the generosity of funds from the Samantha Otte Fund, Arts Quincy, and the Illinois Arts Council Agency, we can help. There are two ways you can offset the price of tuition.
- Volunteer Credits – QCT is excited to bring back the use of volunteer credits for Triple Threat Boot Camp and Basic Training. To learn how you can earn volunteer credits, contact Shari Mulch.
- Flexible Tuition – QCT is proud to offer flexible tuition through our scholarship program. To learn more or to print an application, click here.
The use of volunteer credits and flexible tuition is available on a first come, first served basis based on when completed application forms are submitted for Triple Threat Boot Camp. Students in Basic Training who wish to take advantage of either of these programs should call the Box Office to register at (217) 222-3209.
QCT Safety Procedures and Consent Policies
The health and safety of students and instructors is our top priority. Based on current guidelines, the below policies will be in place for this year’s Triple Threat Boot Camp and Basic Training.
- Masks will be required at all times for students. QCT will provide clear face shields for all participants.
- Drinking fountains are closed. Students should bring a water bottle each day labeled with their name.
- Physical distancing will be maintained when possible; however, due to the nature of performance and ensemble theatre, students will frequently be closer together than six feet.
Additional information can be found in the links below. These policies are subject to change based on CDC, IDPH, and local health guidelines.
