Meet the Cast of CALENDAR GIRLS!

We are delighted to expose the cast of Calendar Girls! This delightful and daring comedy will make its QCT debut September 9-11 and 15-18.

The ladies are taking it all off—for a good cause! Determined to honor their late friend, a tight-knit group of friends poses for an “alternative” nude calendar as a cheeky fundraiser. When they suddenly become an international sensation, the ladies find both their self-confidence and friendships challenged. Based on a true story, this play offers laughs and life lessons for all seasons!

An intimate cast of 14 is coming together to tell this spirited story about friendship, love, loss, and how taking big risks can lead to even greater rewards.

The cast includes Bonnie Brod-Nytes as Chris Harper, Brenda Stalder as Annie Clarke, Heidi Haisley as Cora, Martha “Marty” Rubottom as Jessie, Sara Reuschel as Celia, Terri Stutheit as Ruth, Clarissa J. Hirner as Marie, Vicki Dempsey as Lady Cravenshire, Susan Disselhorst as Brenda Hulse, Mehico Po as Elaine, Bill J. Stalder as John Clarke, Jason Lewton as Rod Harper, Rodney Snyder as Lawrence the photographer, and Sean Major as Liam, a TV commercial director.

Director Brandon Thomsen says, “This cast is made up of QCT regulars, some coming back to the stage after an absence of many years, and some making their stage debuts! As the characters do in the play, these actors embraced a challenge, and I’m so glad to explore this story with them.”

Calendar Girls is under the direction of Artistic Director Brandon Thomsen, scenic and lighting design by Sabrina Brookshire, costume design by Jenny Brown, and stage management by Kristie Bradshaw.

Individual tickets to Calendar Girls start at $20 and go on sale Monday, August 15 at 10:00 am online at 1qct.org, by phone at (217) 222-3209, or at the Box Office.

For those who would like a peek behind the curtain in telling this true story, we will host Discovery Night on Monday, August 29 at 6:00 pm. This free event invites the audience to see the costumes, set pieces, hear from the director and designers, and watch a portion of the rehearsal. RSVP here to attend this event.

Audiences are invited to continue the conversation and meet the cast with a question-and-answer session following the performance on Friday, September 16. The Talk Back will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page for those who are not able to attend in person.
