Please join us in welcoming Burgundy Hill as our new Executive Director!
We’re excited to announce the selection of Burgundy Hill as our new Executive Director. Hill will inherit the position from our former Executive Director Sara Reuschel and Interim Executive Director Dan Conboy.
“We are excited to welcome Burgundy to the QCT family. In her professional life, as a Board member, and as a volunteer, Burgundy has exhibited a dedication to serving nonprofits that support all members of our community. Her experience and passion align beautifully with QCT’s mission. We look forward to her leadership, collaboration, and enthusiasm continuing QCT’s nearly 100 years of offering and perpetuating quality theatre entertainment and education in the performing arts through community participation,” Julie Schuetz, QCT Board of Directors President said.
Hill will be coming to QCT from Quincy Public Library, where she serves as the Assistant Director. Burgundy grew up in Pittsfield, IL, majored in communication at Truman State University and has a master’s degree in communication from Quincy University. She moved back to Quincy in 2013 and has worked in nonprofit marketing, development, and advocacy. Burgundy lives with her husband, Blaine, and their dog, Artie. She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Burgundy hopes to carry on the legacy of high-quality performance and education cultivated by generations of volunteers and committed staff at QCT. She is particularly passionate about expanding QCT’s innovative resources to underserved areas and developing the theatre’s community engagement efforts through partnerships and collaboration. She looks forward to getting to know the QCT community in the coming weeks.
Hill starts her position on January 18 and can be contacted at burgundy.hill@1qct.org.
