Seth Campbell Hired as QCT’s Technical Director

Quincy Community Theatre has announced the selection of Seth Campbell as its new Technical Director. Campbell previously worked for QCT as the Assistant Technical Director from 2011 to 2013. He has stayed involved with the organization since that time, most recently serving as the scenic designer for the theatre’s production of Phantom.

“We are excited to welcome Seth back to the QCT team, and we look forward to the many ways his creativity and experience will positively impact the organization and our productions,” said Executive Director Sara Reuschel. “Seth’s experience in education will also be a great asset for our volunteers and students who seek to expand their knowledge and skills in scenic design, lighting design, and set construction.”

Campbell received his BA in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi and his MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has worked in theatrical carpentry, scenic design, and technical direction over the past 10 years. Additionally, he has taught theatre design at the collegiate level most recently serving as the Assistant Professor of Theatre Design and Production at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.

“I am so excited to be returning to QCT and can’t wait to get started. QCT has been a huge part of my and my family’s life, and I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community again,” Campbell added.

Campbell replaces outgoing Technical Director Lorne Kelley who has been with QCT for 4 years. He will begin in mid-May.
