Light the Way campaign underway

2019 Header (2)This month, Quincy Community Theatre ignites their annual “Light the Way” fundraising campaign. Established in 2017, the yearly campaign funds crucial repairs, increasing production costs, and wish list items that include enhancements to QCT’s stage, sound system, lighting, and more.

“Now in its third year, our annual Light the Way campaign is an opportunity to financially invest in our community theatre, in the youth of our community, in our future,” commented QCT Board President Nora Baldner. “All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will directly impact the experience of all who interact with QCT. Contributions provide the means by which we can create moments and memories. Most importantly, it helps create confidence, community, and collaboration for performers, volunteers, and patrons.”

Community support has proven essential in recent years as QCT has expanded educational opportunities, volunteer engagement, and produced larger-scale productions such as Phantom, Elf, and Mamma Mia. By creating an organized community effort to invest in the theatre, QCT hopes to remain an accessible cornerstone of Quincy’s cultural community while becoming a major player on the national theatrical scene.

Founded in 1923, QCT exists to offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education in the performing arts through community participation. The theatre strives to make itself accessible to everyone who wants to partake, regardless of background or prior theatrical experience.

Community members may arrange their support now thru March online at 1qct.org, by calling 217-222-3209, or by visiting the QCT Box Office, located in the Oakley-Lindsay Center, open weekdays from 10 AM to 5 PM.
