Thomsen Talk: August 2015

August2It’s exciting to be connected to a place that is a hub for positive energy. Our production of MARY POPPINS has closed, but the buzz around town and the friendships that were formed are still very much alive.

Thousands of people were connected to one single production in the summer of 2015. Over 40 volunteers were on stage, 12 musicians in the pit, 16 backstage crew members, and two sign language interpreters, not to mention the many who donated to the “Make Mary Fly” campaign, the over 5000 people who attended the production, and our ushers, greeters, and box office staff. It’s truly remarkable how many people rallied together to see that this production soared to new heights. This production of MARY POPPINS put the “community” in “community theatre.”
