Acting the Song
Thursdays: April 3-May 15 (excluding April 17) | 6 sessions
7:30 PM-9:00 PM
Guest Instructor: Tricia Bart
Adult students explore bringing their acting technique to their interpretation of a song. Having a beautiful voice and strong vocal technique are wonderful, but moving an audience means acting the song!! Working with traditional musical theater repertoire, students will prepare and work on a new song each week, focusing on specific activities from an actor’s perspective culminating in an acting piece comprised of a monologue and a song of the actor’s crafting. This is not a vocal technique or performance class. Students will be singing to pre-recorded piano accompaniment.
